Super Kick Start Morning Shake

This is great for those who are on the run, don’t have time to sit down and eat and want something quick to prepare. This usually takes me 5 minutes to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 large tbsp of protein powder
  • 1 large tbsp of LSA or Bran
  • 1/2 tsp of acidophilus powder (good for the gut) *
  • 3/4 of an apple/pear or 1/2 cup of strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of frozen/fresh blueberries
  • 1 to 1.5 cups of oat/rice milk

Method

  1. Chop up the apple/pear and banana into pieces and place into the blender
  2. Add in the blueberries, LSA/Bran, protein powder and acidophilus
  3. Pour 1 to 1.5 cups of oat/rice milk
  4. Blend for 5-10 seconds (till smooth)
  5. Pour into a large glass and voila, you have your quick and easy smoothie!

 

Summer Muesli

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of muesli of your choice (preferably gluten free)
  • 1 large tbsp of natural yoghurt
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 3 pieces of fruit of your choice (1/2 serves)

Method

  1. Place the muesli of your choice in a bowl
  2. Chop up 3 pieces of fruit and put 1/2 onto your muesli (save the remainder for morning/afternoon tea)
  3. Add in the water and top with yoghurt

 

Avocado on Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of sprouted grain bread
  • 1/2 of an avocado
  • Salt and pepper

Avocado on toast


Bruschetta Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of sprouted grain bread
  • 1/2 a tomato
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Few slivers of red onion
  • Fresh basil

Method

  1. Pop two pieces of bread into the toaster
  2. Chop up the tomato, avocado, red onion and fresh basil and mix together
  3. Once toast is ready allow them to cool slightly then add your mix on top

 

Fruit Toast & Banana

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of gluten free fruit toast
  • 1 Banana
  • Preserve of choice

Method

  1. Cook toast and add preserve
  2. Chop up a banana to have on the side
