Basic Principles
Eating 80% healthy and 20% unhealthy
Drink 2L of water a day
Not drinking whilst eating, drink 30min before and 30min after
Exercise regularly (30min 3 times per week)
Eating a minimum of 5 serves of veggies
Eating a minimum 2 serves of fruit
Eat less foods which contain gluten (wheat/bread)
Eat less fried and fatty foods
Eat good oils: eg. Avocado and fish oil
Eat less refined sugar
Reduce intake of dairy (use substitutes: oat, almond, soy)
Have a few meat free days a week
Buy good quality ingredients where possible: organic, cold pressed oils
Reduce intake of caffeine and sugary drinks
Keep treats as treats!
Chew food 30-40 times before swallowing
Don’t combine meat and starch
Reduce boxed, frozen, packet and canned foods
